Residency project, Galerie Mariton, St Ouen (Seine–Saint-Denis), 2019
Percorso Pubblico was developed during a residency at Galerie Mariton in St Ouen, in the Parisian suburb of Seine–Saint-Denis. The project aimed to temporarily transform the local sports centre at Île-des-Vannes into a pavilion for inclusion and experimentation; extending the institutional space of the gallery into a marginal- ised, pre-gentrified area. While the gallery is centrally located in a new building, the sports centre hosts three groups of highly committed athletes, often overlooked in the cultural landscape.
Percorso Pubblico created a platform to merge these distinct public identities, involving members of the Red Star boxing team in a multidisciplinary performance across surround- ing buildings.
The project also included a series of drypoint engravings and site-specific installations that reimagined institutional boundaries through
collaboration and embodied presence.
